Festival of the Festivals!
This year Slovenian Wine festival celebrated 20th anniversary. The festival contributed to the higher level of winemaking and wine drinking culture in Slovenia true all this years. Our country has long tradition of wine making but this festival helped as well to reposition of this important industry to the higher level.
Founder and director Rado Stojanović invited this year all other Wine Festivals from Slovenia to represent themselves in the festival of the festivals. More than 700 samples of wines were able to taste, mostly from Slovenia. I wish this event will be in the next decade hot spot of must visit for tourists who enjoy wine and culinary as well. Festival is winelovers friendly, you can taste and talk to the winemakers from all wine regions in Slovenia and art deco Grand Hotel Union is perfect place for the scene.
