16th Festival Malvazija (Malvasia) is the event specially dedicated to this the most represented white vine variety in Istria (Slovenia, Croatia and Italy). 67 Vineries from Istria, Goriška Brda /Collio, Vipavska dolina, Kras /Carso presented from fresh to mature Malvasia in hotel Slovenia in Portorož. As I am concerned Malvasia is one of my very dear wines, with its lively smell, taste and aftertaste. At the 3 day event there were organized a few workshops. I also vent to roundtable which was about Istrian Malvasia borderless. Winemakers neighboring Croatia and Slovenia have already some time ago, signed a letter of intent on accessing the market under the brand name Istrian Malvasia. Conversation took place in this direction, although concrete actions were not presented in roundtable.
