Salon Traminec become traditional event for all wine lovers who are willing to explore this fantastic and rare grape variety. 111 samples of Traminer from Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Serbia, France Alsace, and Croatia were offered to taste. This year was not too much busy; the weather was like in early autumn, perfect for tasting. The romantic ambient in Castle Negova is another reason why this Salon is magnet for guests. If you come once, I guarantee you that you will come back every year. This year I was invited by winemaker Danilo Steyer, to help him at the little wine school for winelovers. Of course the topic was Traminer, trying to find out what is the typical taste of Traminer. There are many sensory descriptions beside rose, such as citrus, floral scent, beeswax, ...
