This year's festival in centre of Vienna (“Architekturzentrum” hall in Museumsquartier) hosted 74 winemakers who produce eko and biodynamic wines. To remind, first Label Grand Karakterre was hosted in Zagreb, second and third in Ljubljana. Vienna's culinary offer is developing with the speed of light and is on the way to join the cities like Paris or Kopenhagen and this is the main reason to host the festival here,« have said the organisers Marko Kovač, director of the festival, Niko Đukan, partner and Primož Štajer, coorganiser. He has stated at the end the visitors – winelovers and professionals, found the festival very good and positive. LGK4 has been visited by sommeliers, hosts, importers and traders from Denmark, Norway, United Kingdom, USA, Australia and of course from the region. »I evaluate the number of inappropriate wine sample has lower down and this means the oko and biodynamic production is moving into the right direction.« Guests could enjoy the wines from Austria, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece, Georgia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Argentina, as well as sakes from Japan and gins from Germany. Winemakers from Slovenia: Atimo, Kmetija Štekar, Kramar, Nando, Korenika Moškon, Rojac Emil Tavčar, Renčel, Štemberger, Zorjan, Ducal, Eko vino Šuman, Šumenjak, Posestvo Burja ter Guerilla. »as usually, we have found some things to work on next year – more space for the winemakers, more petit events before the festival,« has said Primož Štajer. Festival is staying Vienna with the option to add Ljubljana, classic festival or at least workshops and small tastings.
