For Sure the Most Charming Wine Event

In Hvar Island I met a guy who saw 10 years ago an advertisement about Croatia – “The Mediterranean as it once was” on CNN. He immediately fell in love with this country... (The rest is history) I understood him completly because this time the Wine Festival in me aroused great sympathy and great respect for everything Dalmatia. It has Rich wine-making heritage. Native and domesticated grape varieties, over 30! were represented at the event by Theater Dalmatian varieties. I also liked workshops such as Plavac mali – grand tasting of the 2010 vintage to estimate the vintage potential and select the best wines and Dubrovnik wine producers – presenting leading wine variety Malvasia Dubrovačka.

“3rd and 4th of May, the 4th Dalmatia Wine Expo once again provided visitors with the opportunity to try the best wines and gastro specialties Dalmatia has to offer. Apart from the winemakers, exhibitors from other parts of Croatia and abroad were also participate in the Expo. Dalmatia Wine Expo has undoubtedly become a place where real wine and gastronomy lovers gather, offering a true overview of Dalmatian wine and gastro scene. This year’s festival was the home of over 150 producers of wine, specialties and olive oil, some hundred representatives from top restaurants and hotels, culinary stars and numerous esteemed guests from the business, cultural and political world,” Saša Špiranec summed up one of the leaders of the organizational team.
