What: Malvasia - Noble taste of the Mediterranean
Multiple events and demonstration dinners with wine, called Malvasia (grape varieties grown historically in the Mediterranean region) in the renowned restaurants of all participating regions from Slovenian Istria, Kras (SLO), Vipava (SLO), Goriška Brda (SLO), Croatian Istria and Italian Karst are happening from mid February to the 13th festival (from 20th & 21 th march 2011). It’s called »Malvazija, žlahtni okus mediterana 2011« (Noble taste of the Mediterranean). This time we had a chance to explore 6 malvasia from 6 Slovenian wineries at the Castle Restaurant in Ljubljana.

p.s. all wines are macerated & sur lie aged; taste & nose is fruity, fresh & mineral, sometimes little creamy in mouth.
