Zagreb International Festival of Wine and Culinary Art (Hotel Esplanade, from 27.-28. November 2015)

International wine and culinary festival, tenth time already, during november 27 and 28 in Zagreb, Croatia. The founder and director of festival Ivan Dropuljić was very excited to host the festival with 300 exhibitors, winemakers and producers of food and stated that ten years ago he would never imagine this festival will gain the most popularity in Croatia. The Regent Esplanade hotel with its tradition of hospitality and gracious setting is a great host to the festival. The novelty of this year was the very first nation wine judging – Vina Croatia, mainly judged by the foreign wine tasters. Slovenian winemakers at the festival: Vinska klet Metlika, Vino Graben, Vina Sanabor, Valter Sirk, Steyer vina, Vina Joannes, P&F Jeruzalem Ormož, Ščurek, Erzetič in Bjana. Zala Šekoranja from Graben Wines stated at the end of the festival: »We take part in Zagreb Wine Festival with no extra thinking, from the very beginning because Zagreb with its areas is our main market. Great organization, from Vino.com as well as from hotel, great audience in magic Esplanada. I am impressed on the younger generation of Croatian winemakers who found very unique way to work with traditional varieties and mothods, Škrlet is a good example.«
