It was again perfect event where we were able to taste 500 wines (70 varieties) from 90 vineries. Mostly of them from Serbia and also from Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Monte Negro, Slovenia, Italy. TheThirdWine team focused only to wines from Serbia wine regions. As years go by the wines from Serbia get better and better. Every single wine region give focus on certain variety and every vintage it shows the result what nature and winemaker in the wine cellar can do. White wine Tamjanika is indigenous Serbian vine variety so winemakers pay attention to it and we could taste from fresh to aged. Vino Budimir winery had vertical Tamjanika tasting where winelovers were able to compare them.

Another good thing about salon is that there were on the stands winemakers themselves so you are able to talk to them very personal and get to know more about vintage, process in the cellar and so on. I would like to mention Winery Bjelica (Fruška Gora) – very small garage winery but extremely interesting to taste. Oh on the show there were more than 30 workshops for visitors all dedicated to people to raise their culture of drinking wine. Did I say this was the 13th Belgrade Wine Salon already?
