What: Days of Poetry and Wine
In the last week of August 2010 Days of Poetry and Wine, one of the most important European poetry festivals, brought together poets from all over the world for the 14th consecutive year. The festival, which has to this day hosted more than 300 poets, was this year made its new home in the medieval centre of the town Ptuj, where it expanded its programme with the help of new infrastructure and scenery. Poetry was on the first place, but wine was close to poetry.
