Guilty Pleasure Blog Concours Mundial de Bruxelles 2019 Aigle Canton of Vaud Switzerland

The 63 panels were evaluating up to 50 wines per day. The entries were divided into consistent flights, taking into account criteria such as origin, grape variety, alcohol level, residual sugar content and retail price for each entry.

350 oenologists and sommeliers, international buyers, journalists, specialist wine writers and critics, researchers and representatives from industry organisations from nearly 50 countries gathered together.

9,150 wines from 46 wine producing countries took part in this year’s competition in the town of Aigle from May 2 to 5 for the 26^th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Over 300 grape varieties have been entered. A total 24 countries entered organic wines in the competition.
