In the morning we attended »HIKING TRAIL »IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF RANINE« which we love! It was a 2 hours walk. Gornja Radgona and its surroundings offer numerous walking opportunities, providing visitors with an authentic nature experience. The “In the Footsteps of Ranina” hiking trail is a circular themed route, rich in natural features and local enogastronomic heritage. The trail is 5.8 kilometres long and suitable for all hikers without mobility impairments. It leads visitors through the town, past the cemetery, across vineyards and meadows, offering views of the Mura River before returning to the starting point at the Dom Penine.

At the evening it was Master Class and Festival Ranine
Summary: Dr. Tatjana Košmerl, summed up her impressions as follows: "If you have the opportunity, I would recommend everyone to visit the vineyards where the vines are planted, on which the grape variety in question grows. It is not about small areas and only one variety, because the specific terrain allows us to produce both still wines (varietal and varietal) and sparkling wines, and in the past also wines of special quality."
First, they tasted must from a huge fermentation tank, which, according to Košmerl, was an unforgettable experience, and above all, an experience. "We learned more about the potential of this variety at a well-attended wine workshop, where, in addition to Ranina, we also tasted three other Slovenian autochthonous varieties accompanied by appropriate food. The importance of the variety was highlighted, from a professional point of view, the need for appropriate and, above all, timely measures both in the vineyard and in the cellar, which allow us to produce varietal wines of different styles (young, fresh, mature and sparkling), which are recognized by differences in sensory properties. Given the delicate specificity of the muscat aromatics, pleasant freshness at the expense of acids, this wine represents a good basis for blending in the genre, where it contributes to the likeability as a spice," Košmerl added.
