What is all about
Wine Universe 2025, the 10th anniversary edition of the largest youth wine education festival in Slovenia. For a decade, the event has been connecting young winemakers, young wine lovers and young professionals under the common theme of "youth for the young" and actively contributing to the development of wine culture among younger generations.
In numbers. This year's edition was co-created by 63 young winemakers. 62 from Slovenia and 1 from Austria, 59 family winemakers and 3 larger Slovenian wineries, More than 800 visitors, mostly under 30 years of age, A professional program with tastings, 6 workshops and official wine evaluation and an anniversary VIP protocol wine and culinary masterclass for project partners.
Young winemakers as knowledge carriers. A special feature of the Wine University is that young winemakers are not only exhibitors, but also lecturers. As part of the festival, a comprehensive series of short professional content took place, where young winemakers introduced visitors to topics such as:
modern vinification approaches and different styles of wines,
fermentation, maceration, pet-nat and sparkling wines,
sustainable and organic production.
